Re: K&N CAI installed - love the deep note on throttle

Hi,

Just installed the K&N System in my 3.6 Grand Cherokee, only 2 two days installed and already loving it, havent been to check on mileage yet, but the response...and the sound...now when you press the gas it sounds like it should...love that heavy sound ...what a change !.
Thats it, just wanted to share the news with you guys.
Have a good one.

What was the final cost for yours and how long did it take to install?

Re: K&N CAI installed - love the deep note on throttle

Hi there,
I got it from Amazon.com, dont recall the price right now, and from my office in Miami I had it shipped to me, down here you cant get anything as at most there might be 10-15 2014 Grand Cherokees.
As far as time, I would say 60 to 90 minutes, not more than that.
Rgds

Mine was $240 something.
It took me about 45 min but I took a lot of pictures. I posted them on a thread here somewhere a year or so ago.

Re: K&N CAI installed - love the deep note on throttle

I recently installed my K&N CAI and I love it! Put the hammer down, and the hemi just roars! I didn't buy it for the improved gas mileage (if there is any?). The look on the faces of the drivers beside me when I stomp on it, is priceless! Easy 40 min install, the chrome version looks fantastic, and I couldn't be happier!

Just installed a K&N CAI yesterday on my 3.6 and couldn't agree more! Was amazed at the sound difference. This will hold me over nicely until I get my 16 or 17 Hemi Overland on order 😎

Great bang for the buck! Much easier & hundreds cheaper than a new exhaust, which would be overkill at this point. Best mod for anyone with either 3.6/5.7 engine to get that grin factor going!

Re: K&N CAI installed - love the deep note on throttle

Question - anyone notice a small delay in throttle response after install? Just out running errands and definitely feel a bit of hesitation on full throttle - no bueno

I seem to recall that exact comment on another thread in here someplace. Posters were discussing the issue and that the growl from the Hemi was worth the trade off.

I want to pull the trigger myself but our dollar isn't doing well against the US at the moment. It's going to add $60 to the price. It'll run me $325

Something else that crossed my mind. Does this mod effect warranty?

I have a whole lotta show, but not a lotta go at first - lol

I haven't heard of anyone's warranty being voided for a CAI, but imagine if they can prove something else failed because of it, then I guess you are screwed. Dealer can pretty much claim anything is caused by wear & tear, so isn't covered under the "limited" warranty anyway honestly.
