Thanks for your concern, but I think I'll be alright!

Extra dirt in your engine would apply to any K&N like oiled/gauze type air filter. The Volant with the Donaldson paper filter; filters much better than an oiled/gauze type filter and would be my choice for a CAI thats dosen't let fine dirt and grit into your engine. Not sure what filters are on the AFE, I think they offer a higher flowing oiled/gauze filter and a more restrictive paper filter in their CAI's. I think the Mopar is made by K&N with an oiled/cotton gauze type filter with the same not filtered fine dirt into your engine issues.
