Re: Longer start time 2013 Hemi WK2

Hey guys. I'm new here but I'm having the exact issue with my 2012 hemi. 18000 miles. First start after sitting for some time. Dealer said they can't duplicate (not surprised). I will try the key trick next time and see. I took a video of it but not sure how to upload. I'll try to figure it out.

Re: Longer start time 2013 Hemi WK2

So this morning I hit the start button first, then put my foot on the brake and started it. Seemed like it started fine. Must be the fuel pressure bleeding off...

Agreed - but part of the original question was, is this normal, or a developing problem, because when new there was no apparent fuel pressure bleed-off overnight and the engine would start quicker after the brake + button-push procedure?

It's definitely something that's developed recently for me. I'm not sure if it's really a problem or just something that's annoying.

It's an annoyance. My old 02 GCL and my 08 Honda Accord have acted this way since day one. It just became a routine habit for me to turn the key to run and listen for the fuel pump to pressurize before starting.

Yeah. I made an appointment for this Thursday, dropping off Wednesday night so it can sit overnight in their lot. I'll post back if they find anything. I've got $ on a leaky injector...

Dealer said it wasn't a problem and couldn't find any issues. We'll see what happens I guess....

Think it could be spark plugs? That start the car without the brake thing doesn't always work...
