Magnaflow advice wanted

Anyone running a magnaflow 19193 on a Summit V8?
Any highway drone or mds drone?

This is the only exhaust I can find that will fit straight onto a 2015 Summit

Re: Magnaflow advice wanted

There is a MDS drone at certain rpms. It is very annoying especially on a road where mds goes on/off often.

I installed it (16929 version, dual 4" tips) on my 14 Limited Hemi and took it off after a 20 min drive as the MDS drone was migraine inducing. I think it's set up more for the V6. Sounds great any time the MDS isn't active but as soon as it kicks in at low rpm it's very loud and annoying. Vibrates the passenger area.

Are you planning on selling it? I deactivated the MDS and am looking for an exhaust.

I'm in Atlantic Canada. Shipping could be pricey. When boxed it's about 80lbs. Exchange rate is in your favour though lol.

Got that model around the 4th of July for just a tad more. Have it mounted to my V6 Limited and I am enjoying it so far. I only have about 200 miles on it so far, so still waiting for it to fully "break in." I only commute 6 miles round trip to work, so it's taking some time cabin drone is not bad at all but it is def more noticeable than the stock; eps at idle. I think I feel a tiny bit less torque below 20mph, but I could be Imagining that as well.

Re: Magnaflow advice wanted

You previous post is what lead me to them. Thanks. I have a my15 3.6 overland and was looking for something a little deeper sounding without being annoying. I travel 90 per day so I'm hoping it's not to bad on the highway.

My friend runs a workshop specializing in Porsche and other performance cars and he swears by Magnaflow.

Re: Magnaflow advice wanted

All on and it sounds great however when driving in a higher gear and at low revs the drone can be a little annoying. I'm hoping this will go away after I re-tighten everything up.

I do want to let everyone know about one isse we encountered after first installing the system. I noticed a noise when accelerating hard or hitting small bumps. At first I thought we hadn't bolted it up correctly but once we got it up we saw the problem. Not sure if it's the position of the hangers but the front of the exhaust (where it bolts to the cat pipes) seems to sit a little lower and as a result would the cat pipes vibrate on a flat bar that runs from the middle to the passenger side. It's bolted on with 2 bolts so all we did was take it of and add a couple of washers between the bar and the body. Rattle gone!

Hope this helps.
