Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

I was thinking Corsa too but I just can't get past that old Caddy look of the 2 mufflers at an angle. I really think that is ugly.

anyone with a Magnaflow system want to chime in after having it installed for a while? It's a bit less expensive than the corsa/mopar.

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

I decided to go with the Corsa because of the drone. If I could ever get the exhaust delivered I'd let you know what it's like. I decided to order from mine from AutoAnything.com but just got a message that the shipment is delayed again. Getting sick of it to be honest. I'm thinking of canceling and going to summit if I can come up with the other $300.

Mean grunty sound when pushed with the Corsa.

I am waiting for superchips to come out with their tuner. This way I can disable the MDS and it won't matter which way I go.

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

I just had the Mopar cat back exhaust installed by the Jeep dealer here in Dubai. They had to remove the OEM tow hitch under the driver rear bumper to make room for the new exhaust. Is this really necessary? It's nice to have the tow hook when I'm in the desert dune bashing and someone gets stuck and needs a tow (including me). I'm not thrilled about having to now buy a center rear tow package as the new pipes were expensive enough as is. That said, I really like the sound!!

I installed the Magna Flow system on our 2011 HEMI.....

Wish we would have chose differently, as there is so much of that drone, I cannot possibly drive on the highway without using the TOW/HAUL setting.

Wondering now, should I get a new Corsa exhaust, or get the MDS disabled with a chip?

Suppose I could remove and sell the Magna Flow Exhaust with 800 miles, and then install a Corsa?

This whole modification program has gone a bit sideways with the Jeep, and I don't want to void the warranty.

Magna Flow sounds great, as long as the MDS is off.

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

Of coarse it sounds different when it kicks in.So around town you just hit the tow-haul button and no MDS. I do it all the time and I don't see any difference in my MPG.

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

Hey everyone. I just joined the forum after researching about exhausts for my 2012 GC. I unfortunately purchased the magnaflow and have wanted to pull my hair out ever since. Summit is willing to exchange the system for the corsa with a small additional fee or just refund it. I've been reading a ton all over the internet and don't want to be back in this same drone crazy situation. Any opinions on this situation or should I just go back to stock?

Re: MDS Vs. Exhaust (Hemi Owners)

From everything I've read the Corsa system is the best drone killer out there. I'm still a year away from having to make a choice on an exhaust for the WK2 (shocker I'm already looking at what I want) but unless something changes, I'll be going with the Corsa.
