I've been keeping track, but not marking it down. I normally get between 350 - 450 (sometimes more) miles or about 8.5 - 9 hours out of a tank of gas. I own a 5.7L though.

Re: Miles per tank range - anyone tracking?

I have a 3L CRD Laredo. On average around town and a bit of highway driving I get about 800km(500miles). I haven't emptied a full tank on a long trip yet but I expect to get well over 1,000km(620miles).

Re: Miles per tank range - anyone tracking?

'12 Hemi Owner, not real diligent about keeping track, but I do reset the trip odometer after every fill up (don't know why I bother). Usually has a low 400 mile number with the highest I can recall about 450 miles.

Rarely let the gauge go below 1/4 of a tank (30-mile commute each direction) so quite often marker is at 1/8th when I pull into the local station. Believe that is 20-22 gallons on the average.

Perhaps 19mpg on the average according to EVIC.

Average speed prolly about 75 if traffic isn't backed-up.

I use the cheapest Shell grade (87). So far have only used Shell for all the miles with the exemption being whatever 5-gallons the dealership gave me to drive off the lot (what a joke!).

Re: Miles per tank range - anyone tracking?

Majority of my driving is in city. I fill up when I have 1/4 tank left and avg around 275-300 between fill ups. When I took a road trip averaging about 70mph my range was about 350-375 to a 1/4 tank

02 4.7 QTII , only had it a couple days so I don't know what I will get but according to the evic which hasn't been reset in the last 60,000 miles the average fuel economy is 15.6 mpg...we shall see.

Think Outside !- No Box Required.

Re: Miles per tank range - anyone tracking?

2011 Laredo X V6 4x4 QT II running 87 octane

Running it from topped off until the needle is on the E.

Around town, city streets, going to the mall, cross town expressway - 420 miles per tank.

All interstate long trip drive - 520 miles per tank.

Took almost 23 gallons to fill it up.

EVIC normally gives me an around town average of 18.2 mpg cumlative after several tanks, several weeks of running around town. If I reset the average and hit the interstate it is up to 22.5 to 23 mpg cruising at 72 mph. I have seen 24 mpg for a tank with a tail wind.

I see in your sig you have a dual battery setup. Where did you place the second battery?

Re: Miles per tank range - anyone tracking?

Anybody with a V8 have a MPG guestimate about difference in mileage b/w 89 octane (recommended by Jeep) and 87 octane ("acceptable" by Jeep)? In other words have you filled up a few times with 89 and gotten a reading, then a few times with 87?

The dual battery setup runs power to a 175A Anderson plug bolted to the rear recovery hook support. It's intended to power a trailer (battery, fridge etc), when I get a trailer that is.
