Mopar CAI for 2011 5.7L

Sitting here in the dealership. Just talked to the parts guy. We called Mopar. It's currently in final acceptance testing on vehicles. It's expected to be released to parts distributors on 11/20, and probably 2 weeks out from that to general availability. Expected price is $374.

Parts guy thinks that based on all the other CAI units, that there will be a heat shield for the filter. No clue as to how it will integrate with the "snorkle" that pulls air from the stock location. We'll see.

Right in time for the holidays, but still a month or so out.

Re: Mopar CAI for 2011 5.7L

Thanks E. It would be useful to see it draw more fresh air from another source such as the wheel wells, from photos it looks like the 2012 srt8 may do so.

Also seems like it'll be out around when Superchips is looking to release a tuner. Looks like it might be a HP Christmas!

Actually, based on the pics from the auto show where it debuted, they're still using the stock airbox and snorkle on it.
