Re: Mopar CAI Installed 5.7 HEMI

The CAI looks nice and I am also considering a CAI as well. I do have the following questions:
1. How do you clean the air filter? Is it a “dry” filter or is it cleaned in the same manner as the K&N filters using oil?
2. As it is a Mopar part and the dealer installed it, there will be no issue with it affecting your car’s warranty?

Re: Mopar CAI Installed 5.7 HEMI

I haven't noticed any temp difference at all. It's still hot as hell under the hood....I've checked twice after having the intake installed. Right now it's sounding great and the throttle response is better.

Re: Mopar CAI Installed 5.7 HEMI

Have you considered getting an upgraded exhaust system or is the WK2's sufficient?

I've had the flowmasters running for awhile. Adding the CAI just makes it a little better

Nice, what kind of Flowmaster have you been running? I know a lot of people like the Super 44 but I enjoy the sound of their newer Super 10 lol.

I was curious about this. I have Airaid installed and initially it gave me good throttle response. But it got slightly tamed.

It still gives me better-than-OEM low-rpm throttle response and pretty good mid~high rpm throttle response though.

Being a Mopar part, does this void the warranty or no?

No add on parts VOID a warranty. It is under the Magnuson-Moss Act if you want to read up on it.

Bump for a little help on this? Is anyone else scratching their head?

3 days in and I'm still getting an improved throttle rsponse. For some reason it's better in Auto and not Sport. I'm still waiting to see if I'm getting better gas milage.
