Mopar cai vs k&n cai

hello
just wondering whats everyones opinion for a v6 (LEASE) K&N vs. Mopar intakes. Did some reading found out MOPAR CAI causes you to trim/cut the engine cover on a v6 ... have they fixed that issue or no? and is that same with k&n cai??

I have the mopar one and like it and yes you do. k&n you do not have to cut I did see the AFE one in person and it's pretty sharp. Alternative is just not having the engine cover on of you don't want to cut it I believe its just cosmetic

Re: Mopar cai vs k&n cai

Built my own and see almost no difference in IAT, on the road it and factory run about 10F over ambient. Does sound a little different cools a little faster when floored. Part of the issue is that there are almost three feet of large diameter tubing exposed to the under hood heat. Thermal wrapping might help but again more for WOT than cruise (and I don't spend much time over 50%).
