My 2014 JGC 5.7L at the dragstrip

Made a few passes at the dragstrip with my 2014 JGC Overland 5.7L with the following mods.
* K&N Cold Air Intake
* DiabloSport intune-i2 with the following tunes (Diablo 91 and 93 octane tunes) plus (3 HemiFever tunes 93 octane and 93B octane).
* Pedal Commander: https://www.youtube/watch?v=5t4fNcgfw4M

And finally a few pictures of (4) time-slips

Re: My 2014 JGC 5.7L at the dragstrip

One thing I noticed at the dragstrip. The Jeep liked coming out at idle vs. being launched at some higher rpm when used with the Pedal Commander. I tried idle launches, 2000rpm launches and 3000rpm launches. and my best times were with idle launches.

Then on the flip side, the MPH went up higher with higher rpm launches. Here's two examples.
11:05AM: Idle launch, 14.591 @ 94.97
4:38PM: 3000rpm launch, 14.667 @ 95.24

Maybe it had something to do with the weather conditions (ambient temperature, humidity, Density Altitude and barometric pressure) at the track. I have no idea but thought it was worth mentioning.

See ya

Is yours a RWD or 4x4? Those are some pretty good times.

Re: My 2014 JGC 5.7L at the dragstrip

I apologize, my 2014 JGC is 4-wheel drive. If anyone wanted to enter a bracket race with their Jeep, they should be consistent as well. Thanks for the kind words but it's been many years since I drove anything down the 1/4 mile dragstrip. Personally, I thought my reaction times on the tree were a little slow.

Thanks again
Michael Plummer

Any stock vehicle, especially an AWD or 4x4 is great for bracket racing. All you do is get your timing down and step on the gas. My friend used to race with rental cars lol.
