WK2 Overland Exhaust Update. (By-Pass Pic Heavy)

Well, I have had my WK2 for two years now, have done 50,000 Ks, and need to look at the exhaust again.

Late last year, hired a Caravan for a week, to test the Jeep, before buying one in the future, but the drone of the exhaust under load, was unbearable, and the Wife winged the entire trip.

So time for an upgrade.

Being the old hoon, that I am, I wasn't going to give up a sports exhaust, so time to search eBay.

I found some remote exhaust by-pass valves. (See ebay Supplier SpeedRacingTurbo).

I went back to my very helpful exhaust guy, and after about 3 Hours, I'm good to go.

With them turned off, the new resonators still give me a bit of note, but no drone and a lot quieter. (Still to test with a heavy load though).

Turned on, WOW, about 135 Dcbs at full throttle, so got to to watch out for the Cops. Don't know if it still drones or not, can't hear above the roar.

I'll do a sound file when I can.

Routed wiring up through the same grommet I used for the CB-Antenna, and across behind the spare wheel, and spliced both wire sets together and onto the back of the rear 12V outlet. Just stuck remote receiver on the inside of the plastic panel, so driveing along, I can switch on and off from the remote.
