No video necessary just give us your opinion on how are you like the sound. Louder Inside than you expected?

Re: need more sound from my exhaust. (Flowmaster)

Ok, got up this morning just to take a drive. It's very loud....louder than I expected.
Idling it's pretty quiet and cruising at 70 it's not bad but when you lug the engine you get a very noticeable drone but it's tolerable. The worst part is when in "drive" and you lug the engine....you get a very loud drone until the tranny drops a gear. So now I've just changed my driving style a bit. When I'm on the side streets I just drop it down to 4th and all is good.

I have to say that the sound is intoxicating....the tone is increaible. I really wish it was a six speed manual trans......so I could sit at intersections and blip the throttle. Hell I'll ocasionaly slip it I to neutral just to blip the throttle.

Only problem I have now is..........

I need a much more aggressive set of wheels.

BTW, in my rush to get out the door this morning, I forgot my stupid camera.

Re: need more sound from my exhaust. (Flowmaster)

I should also note, I get the strangest looks from people now.
I was at a stop light next to a new Mustang this morning (just idling it sound good, just a little louder than stock) well when the light turned green and I took off, one of the guys in the Mustang pointed at the back of my Jeep. I can only imagine that he was commenting about the exhaust. It really does sound good.

Can't wait to install the afe cai.....when it gets here next month.

Good to hear it sounds good. From those earlier vids I had a feeling it sounded mean as hell. I'm afraid if it's that loud I may have to look into other options fml.. I traded in my 11 Mustang GT that was loud as hell and if I do that again to a car she'll make me sleep in it lol.

Have you stood outside and had someone drive it around so you can hear it from outside? I didn't think my mustang was that loud until I did that. Also a good opportunity to get some video for us ..

As for the drone, how far are the tips from the bumper? Are they past it or tucked under a little? If so is there any room to adjust them out a little, this may alleviate some of the drone.

Your aFe should open up the sound a little too. I put my Volant intake on yesterday and love it so far.

Re: need more sound from my exhaust. (Flowmaster)

I just back home from my little drive. The exhaust makes me feel like I'm driving an old muscle car.......they weight about the same.

No, I have not had anyone drive by me yet but I can only imagine that its pretty damn loud.

The tips are about flush to 1/4" past the rear bumper cover......I might try to move them out another 1/2" to 3/4" past.

This exhaust is very in your face.....very aggresive sounding.

I am with you on this one....too loud kind of defeats the purpose for me at least of buying the GC, I wanted something to take on long trips that was comfortable and pretty quiet in the cabin. If there is noticeable drone then that will not work for me.
I wonder about changing out the dynomax mufflers with something a little bigger to alleviate some of the hiway speed drone?

"...one of the guys in the Mustang pointed at the back of my Jeep." ...and said: "Look, the SRT8!"

Great narration 5.7.... thank you for taking the time to share it with us. Indeed, your phone video was a nice preview!

That's the boat I'm in too. I've owned a lot of loud cars. My jeep wrangler has a pretty loud exhaust. The GC is so quiet and comfortable I need something that is quiet at cruise. I often end up having to do conference calls for work in the GC while I'm driving.

Based on that and the recent Corsa interior videos I've seen, I'm going to have to go with the corsa.
