RAM/Chrysler/Jeep needs a great aluminum block V8!
Recently read a truck comparison in Car & Driver about the new aluminum F150, Chevy Silverado, Ram, and Toyota Tundra.
Tundra came in dead last because the engine that was big news 5 or so years ago is feeling dated now.
RAM came in third... Loved the air suspension and RamBox, but the cast iron lump under the hood killed it.
Chevy with 6.2 V8 came in a very close second to Ford with 3.5 V6 EcoBoost. Both had great hp and torque numbers and same mileage. They liked the low end torque of the 6.2 V8 better, but the Ford edged out the Chevy by a few points.
