It depends on whether or not you believe it will do any good, prevent any harm, or just add underhood bling. It will catch some oil vapor [and possibly blow by] and keep it out of your intake manifold. You may or may not care about this.

Vehicles have been sending oil vapors/blow-by into the intake for decades and decades. People have been selling attachments to prevent some presumed harm from this for about as long.

If there is heavy blow-by, unless the engine is designed for it like an old Jag 6 banger, there may actually be an engine problem that a catch can just masks.

Opinions differ. Facts are considerably more rare.

OK, I'll admit I've been considering one... half as much fo schizzles as any presumed benefit on a stock 5.7. A hotter hemi, probably would get one.

I agree all should pamper their motors. I define the average person as the average vehicle owner who feels the vehicle is transport, if the vehicle needed a mechanical gizmo like a catch can then the factory would have installed one, probably doesn't rotate tires every 5-7.5k, etc....

My BT catch can in anodized red is quite the personal touch under my hood with my Volant CAI, etc...

BT direct...it will take 2-3 weeks to get as they are bombed and run batches with Al the customized choices they offer.

Gabe from BT gave me a code of JG2013 for 15% off my order and I think it's still good.

Mate if you are only going to keep the car for 4 to 5 yrs don't bother your wasting your money because you would have traded it by then or you plan on doing a very large amount of miles before your 4 to 5 years are up then maybe you would buy one . There is no performance or better MPG or cosmetic looks ? It's just there to keep your car engine insides cleaner and you plan on keeping the car for 5 to 15 yrs . Meh my .2c worth

Catch cans are nothing at all new, although most of the current ones have much better installation kits and are far more attractive than they were back in the 60's, when any Corvair that had been upgraded at all would tend to have one to keep blowby oil out of the carbs--particularly the turbo ones.
