Re: Ported Throttle Body - WK2

bt has a 40/30/20 percent sale coming wednesday.

For those of you who have never experienced this you may want to pay attention..!!!!

Friends, its hard to believe that we are approaching the end of 2011. We are so fortunate to have you all as our customers and partners in the adventure that we call Billet Technology. Words can never be typed that will expressly convey our gratitude to you all. It is because of you that we live our dreams! Thank you for being such a huge part of that.

As many of our long time customers are aware the holidays represent a time for the Billet Tech team to give back to you. On Wednesday, November 23, 2011 we will have our Count Down Sale. If you are new to this annual tradition this is how it works:

From 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. Eastern Standard Time enter coupon code CD2011-40 to receive 40% off your entire order.

From 11:01 A.M. to 12:01 P.M. Eastern Standard Time enter coupon code CD2011-30 to receive 30% off your entire order.

From 12:02 P.M. to 1P.M. Eastern Standard Time enter coupon code CD2011-20 to receive 20% off your entire order.

This offer is good on all of our products, excluding custom work and valve covers. For example if you want a custom engrave on your under hood products, we will discount you on the product, but up charge you for the custom. Please call us if you have any questions regarding this.

This offer is not retroactive and cannot be used with any other coupon codes.

We will do all we can to have delivery in time for Christmas. Due to the volume of orders we receive during this holiday sale, we cannot promise you, but be assured we will do all we can to make that happen.

If you wish to place an order by phone and you are directed to the voice mail, please leave your full name and a call back number telling us you want to place a countdown order. Our phones are very active during these time frames, and we only have 2 lines. The voice mail is time and date stamped. We will return calls Monday, November 28th and help you place your order over the phone and apply the discount that is applicable to you based on the time stamp of your voice mail.

Why the wait to return calls until November 28th? Don’t worry you have our assurance we will get to all the folks who leave a message if we don’t get to speak to you on November 23rd. In order that our team may be able to enjoy the Thanksgiving Holiday with each other and our loved ones, we will be closing at 1:30 P.M. Eastern Time on November 23rd for the remainder of the holiday week. We will reopen bright and early on the 28th at 6:00 A.M.

In closing it has truly been an honor to be a part of your car experience over the past several years. We have made some of our best friends; friends who will stay near and dear long after we part with the cars. We have laughed together and cried together. Our success is because of each one of you. We never take that for granted.

From the Billet Tech Family to you and yours, Happy Holidays!!!

Re: Ported Throttle Body - WK2

Flyin, how much does porting cost / what does it take? Also, in the JK world people were throwing Viper TBs on, any idea if this would work on the WK2 hemis?

225 is what I normally charge, this includes shipping to the lower 48. I've also been doing a "no polish" version lately for 200. No difference in flow or performance, just allows me to finish them faster. Finish is 320 grit (smooth to the touch) and has some polishing compound added for a clean, machined sort of look. If you send me your old stock TB when you've installed the new, I give you a rebate.

Viper TBs, are actually 4.7 TBs. The Viper just uses 2 of them. I am not familiar with the 3.8 JK's intake manifold but assuming it is like the 3.7 used in the WKs (which also uses the same throttle body casting), there is a 9mm gap in between the 3.7's manifold diameter and a stock 4.7/Viper TB diameter. That is a pretty significant mismatch, so it is my belief that a 3.7 or 3.8 would be better suited with a taper-ported stock TB. Not only would the Viper/4.7 TB not bolt up, but it is smaller than the factory 5.7 casting.

Re: Ported Throttle Body - WK2

Good info, I guess i should of just pmd you with all the questions from all the threads i responded to haha. I didn't realize they used two of them, makes sense tho. I had a ported TB on my JK and was very happy with it even on the mini van motor so I am sure I'll be stoked about this. This very well may be a christmas present to myself in the near future. Thanks again for all the info.

2) if you do suppy ported do you take core exchange?
3) what is the price shipped ?
Thank you

Re: Ported Throttle Body - WK2

I have question? I have a Ported TB from 6.1 Challenger, porting done by BT. Will this work on my 2011 wk2 5.7? The size of the ported TB is 84.25.
