Power reduced for first 3500 miles to break in?

So another member posted on one of my threads that New jeeps have their power reduced for the first 3500 miles so you don't damage the vehicles engine during break in.

First I've ever heard of anything like this, was he correct?

I don't believe that. Seems like they'd be setting themselves up for a lawsuit if someone got injured because the vehicle pulled power at the wrong time.

You can get a free copy of the Owners Manual by calling 1-877-426-5337. It contains a lot more info than is available in the little owners guide.

They don't let the SRTs use launch for the first several hundred miles, but I do not see them limiting the power for any amount of mileage.
