Programmer/Scanner for WK2 or Mopar in General

Hello everyone,
just picked up a 2015 Summit Diesel and love it. I know it's quite early for any sort of perf/diag/scan/fault code tool but was wondering if there was anything out there that people are using with their WK2s.

I had an IIDtool (GAP Diagnostics) for my LR3 and that pretty much did everything. For around $500 I could fully control the EAS, clear any fault codes, connect to phone via BT for live values and management, and update any of the 11 onboard computers. Just wondering if there is anything like it available for Jeeps. Thanks.

Thanks, as ufo said I am looking for something that at minimal can connect to the canbus and give live value readings and faults. tools like this I found to be a must once you hit a few years of service. mine saved me while on the road a few times and paid for itself 5x over. just was not sure if it was a Chrysler tool or nothing with these. thanks for the info.

The scanner I posted will do 50% of what you want. Live values, read/clear fault codes. I have one and I've never needed to do more than that. Updating computers is going to be more of a factory tool, I'm surprised you could do that with an aftermarket tool.

I keep an android phone in my car with this app on it

Thanks, I'll check it out. I have Torque Pro already, so $30 is worth it to see what it does. I am guessing there is nothing custom for the WK2's which I guess is really what I was asking. I was definitely spoiled with the IIDTool. The stuff that could be done using the vehicle's dash display or a phone was amazing.

The pics below give an idea of the features. As you can see anything with arrows has a full subset of options. The EAS stuff was worth it alone. Could often troubleshoot anything air suspension related better than the dealer. Also annoyingly expensive stuff like reprogramming key fobs and re-syncing or replacing TPMS sensors.

You are not going to find such a tool. Look up DiabloSport but you have the wrong engine for it. And DiabloSport handheld tuners don't really allow that kind of customization. What you truly need is the WiTech (previously StarScan) device that dealerships have.

I'm pretty sure the only thing is the WiTech dealership device. I too had the same realization after coming over from VW where we had VAG-COM tools to program modules, clear codes, and log data.

That's no different than any other BT or wifi obd dongle and any of the multitude of smartphone apps available already. He's talking about the ability to write data to modules to change coding.

Re: Programmer/Scanner for WK2 or Mopar in General

I have Blue Driver and bought it when it was cheaper, with the full data packs, I also have another dongle and several other programs I've used at others recommendations. BD has a decent interface and is easy, but. The number of parameters that any of these will recognize is very limited in comparison to what even the cheap dongle and generic programs will read on other vehicles. I'm not sure if it's chryco limiting it or just a poor job of writing the code with any specificity toward individual makes, there's a lot of them.. All the basics will show, water/air temp and trims etc. probably 15-20 maybe 6 useable to the average person. You can read codes and such. The display on blue driver for real time readout is simple and in list or gauges format but not as nice as a few others I've seen. These are at best extensions of the dash but in no way advanced diagnostic tools, read they are code readers and toys really.
