I've been watching the CAI threads and I noticed K&N had dyno restults
for the 2011 3.6L Pentatstar 203.76 HP/BHP 194.74 TQ
Note: no other information given on the test, applied dyno correction, ambient temps, FWD or AWD test mule, etc..
Jeep claims flywheel numbes are 290 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. They don't provide the real numbers often refered to as "Break" HP or TQ.
It's a fairly comman standard across all automotive manufactores and aftermarket guys flywheel to Break usually accouts for min/max 18% - 25% loss in these numbers due to drivetrain.
@ 18% loss that would be 52 HP difference (238 BHP)
@ 25% loss that would be 72 HP difference (218 BHP)
So.... where is the missing HP and TQ? it's WAY off based on the K&N dyno.
Anybody have any Dyno test for their 3.6L FWD/AWD? I'm scratching my head on this one.
FlyinRyan - Have you done any dyno test while testing out your mods?
