any idea if the 3.6 is better at taking boost than the 6.4's? stock to stock.

With the SRT you get 600AWD-HP and that dwarfs the 3.6 and 5.7's power. There are plenty of 500-600WHP SRT's driving around with RIPP kits and there a handful that have had issues, but they were all very early systems. The GEN2 kits are really dialed in and considered safe. The Hyperutectic pistons found in the 392 are lighter and thinner than conventional piston which gives the 6.4 the ability to rev so quickly. They don't like weak gas or detonation and excessive heat. We dial most of that out with a really conservative tune which works well for clients who want more but can respect the machine for what it is. If you continually beat it up, it's beat you back.

We have over 4500 Jeep Wrangler kits on the market driving around and we can attest to both the 5.7 and the 3.6's integrity. They have proven themselves worthy of the test of time. We love both those engines in stock form. Both make great Wheel HP and respectable daily drivers.

I want the updated tune! I'll send email now with my current information. I can't wait to see what this thing is like with almost 100 more whp.

I'm impressed. I promised myself no more heavily modified vehicles after starting and not finishing the project in my garage but that latest video is really making me think twice.

I have the same issue when ever I buy a new car. I say to myself I'm not going to touch it but that only lasts about a week or so. This jeep has to be a beast with another 100whp.

We're all slaves to the power -

Honestly though, we've been running 3.6 and 5.7 systems for so long that we have huge faith in them at these power levels. The 3.6 has always been a little monster waiting to be unleashed and the 5.7 is easy to find HP with.

Wow! Can't wait to get that tune! More is better! With a smaller pulley we won't be just hunting SRT's, we'll be killing 'em!

tune-

Looks like the tune is still a couple months out ...sounds like we just need the smaller pulley/belt and the tune and we'll be rolling..

Re: RIPP 3.6 Grand Cherokee HP Hunting

I'm so jealous

I just called them today and they told me it wouldn't be ready for a couple months

But my jeep isn't on their videos so I don't get the special treatment

Can't wait to hear your feedback on this upgrade !!

Once we're completely satisfied with the tuning we'll have it out there for the public. We don't want to just rush things

As of right now the production kit with 330 awhp is a solid setup, regardless this will be QUITE a difference from what you have now
