He's referring to the Billet Blue engine Dress up parts...Yes...the SRT8 parts fit ...the power steering cap is a little tricky but it works...

I bought these blue parts off the forum here so that's why I have the "392" on one of the parts...but I'll just transfer these to my SRT8 when this one either dies or I sell it ...

I kicked myself for not buying the SRT8 so I'm doing the best I can with this V6...it may send a piston through the block one day but until then I can still run with any stock SRT8 out there

I will say though that even when I do get myself an SRT8 next year I'm going to Supercharge that as well...if it blows its easily fixed...people act like blowing an engine is the worst thing around.....it may suck but its repairable...

I'm really hoping that the new Hellcat SRT8 becomes available soon so I can just get that...the wife already gave me the nod to get one as she's sick of me tinkering with this one

Ajag,

Where do you get to use all this mighty horsepower and torque that you now command? More importantly, after you supercharge the SRT, where will you enjoy it? Sure, there's always a school zone...or more seriously, in urban areas there's always something to curb the fun: speed cameras, traffic, schools. Do you go to the drag strip every weekend or how?,

Not the end of the world, besides if you want to play you have to pay. The guy that does my diesel tunes has a gaurentee with every tune you get decreased engine life.

Only time will tell how adding a supercharger will affect long term engine and transmission reliability for the 3.6. I'm sure anyone who adds after market parts to the engine especially a supercharger understands the inherent risks they take when adding non-oem engine upgrades.

I enjoy and admire people willing to invest in these performance upgrades to test out the maximum capabilities of these vehicles and share their results with us, in order for me to determine if its something I would also like to do in the future. Everyone here reading this topic is looking for a performance edge and also knows the risk vs reward.

Sure there are risks, but that's why you tune conservatively if you want longevity. Any engine can handle 6-7 psi, and the pentastar was designed with boost in mind. The power is within the rating of the 8 speed transmission. The 3.6's with the 5 speed share their transmission with the SRT, so no worries there.

Why do you say the V6 was designed for boost?

Where do you get these facts from (see highlighted in color) ?

While I do recall reading that the design of the Pentastar did indeed accommodate for future forced induction, I caution that there is a huge difference between designing an engine to be eventually upgraded with forced induction and actually building it as such. It may mean anything from being designed to accommodate the increased cooling needs of forced induction to having cylinder walls thicker, to accommodating a variety of bore x stroke configurations and compression ratios. That does not mean that the Pentastar, in its current guise in any of our cars, was built to simply accept forced induction.

A conservative tune to me would be adding 2-4 psi to a motor with an aluminium engine block that was supercharged or turbocharged from the factory; not one that was no built as such.

Re: Ripp Supercharged 3.6L- 0-60 times

Well.....I cannot speak for the longevity of the 3.6L with the blower but I can tell you that I have put on 8K HARD miles with the Supercharger and am now at 40,100 Miles on the odometer...and no failures yet

drives smooth and docile until you hammer the throttle ...then it just RIPS....

I drive 33 Miles each way to work every day ...most of which is highway...so that gives me AMPLE opportunity to smash the peddle and fly up to 100-125mph most every day ...I've really put this setup through the paces and i'm convinced that very few probably beat their setups as hard as I do ...but I do this because I want to see if it will break and see if I can trust it ....so far so good

I do pull over into the break down lane quite a bit so I can test the launching and 0-60 times...so far nothing has broken...I found that by lifting the throttle before shifts it actually shifts faster(thanks for the tip Brett-AKA Gmgc2014) ...and i'm convinced I still can better my current best of 4.8 Secs

I got this 4.8 by Launching at 2500 rpm and then lifting between the shift from 1st to second...and then lifting on the shift from 3rd-4th

still room for improvement though

Only insecure idiots with tiny dongs have to show off by breaking the speed limit daily in such a stupid manner. Grow up, drive responsibly and quit endangering other people lives, who do respect themselves and others on the roads.
