My work van that weighs almost 9000lbs will out stop the jeep and would probably out corner it.
I love the Jeep and it's off road ability but it's street manors need improvement. I would love to see the magnetic ride for the shocks and struts like GM uses, street handling would improve and off road would be the same.

I'm not sure what you guys are looking for out of the GC, it's not a "race truck". The HD brakes would be an improvement but the base ones stop my 5000 lbs boat (with no trailer brakes) just fine. I don't have the entry speed of an SRT into a corner, but I'm also not on a racetrack...

As others said, just because you add more power doesn't mean you'll be driving faster on a daily basis, just have more power available.

I noticed you decided to only quote half of what I said. Go reread my comment, I said its also a safety improvement from shorter stopping distance which is good when that one idiot pulls out in front or if a deer runs across the road.

If your gonna quote me, use all of my quote and not part of it to suit your aurgument

What I posted is the same as Joe's post, quoted, verbatim. Not sure why you're having a fit, but whatever.ImageUploadedByJeepGarage1448580421.967971.jpg

Re: RIPP supercharged 6+ month update/review

The standard brakes have room for improvement, but so does almost any other base OEM brake package. You can upgrade to the HD or Brembo brakes, but the standard are adequate for most use. With all my time driving in NYC or towing I have yet to need more brake power than I have, haven't had the rotors warp either (at 82k now). That being said when I need brakes I'll upgrade to the HD for the minimal cost.

Could a stock GC benefit from better shock/struts? Sure, but just because you increased HP by 30% doesn't mean you'll be driving 30% faster. I'm not risking life and limb by not having upgraded brakes/suspension.

I should have more clear with my post. I love the Jeep but if I adding power to the jeep I think it needs improvement in brakes and suspension, even not adding power they need improvement

To each their own. I drive down the highway the same speed I did before so the same brakes work just fine for me. When my brakes are due for replacement I'll upgrade to the HD package, but there is no NEED to do it just because I have more power available on demand. Same with the shocks/struts, could they use better valving to handle big tires or ride quality? Sure, but not necessary because of a supercharger. Like I said, I'm driving on the street not a racetrack.

Also it should be noted Gmgc has stage 2 kit which runs with the SRT, I'm only on stage 1... 330whp on 32" tires, little more than the hemi... Looking forward to the stage 2 though!
