Re: Ripp Supercharging my 2014 3.6 Grand Cherokee

Well I received my tune update from RIPP last evening and installed immediately. Any minor issues that I had are now virtually gone. It drives like stock with more power now. I still want to driver more and put different gas in it and see how it reacts but it seems like all is good.

Re: Ripp Supercharging my 2014 3.6 Grand Cherokee

I'm getting pretty excited to get my Supercharger...should have it in a week or 2 ..I just hope it all installs smoothly and runs well out of the gate...

My GC is my daily driver so I can't really afford to have it down for any length of time...

Thanks for the info

I wouldn't worry too much about being without. Install looks very straight forward and I would assume hardest parts are the injectors and mounting the blower itself. All other stuff is very self explanatory. You will be surprised how little you are actually in boost during daily driving. Only if you get on it are you boosting and it's a centrifugal blower so it takes a little to spool. You don't feel any lag in power band at all but now that I have gauges I can really see how infrequently you are boosting the manifold.

Correct, that's the thing we like the most about the set up, it's easy to keep things safe and when you want it, hit it and it's gone.

Think, you have the most relaxed set up right now, it'll only go up from here.

Yeah..I'm glad to hear this..I'm having mine installed for me but I'm just crossing my fingers that everything will go smoothly

Can't wait to see the power difference..and then in a couple months hopefully get a little more boost out of the smaller pulley

Ripptech,

When can I get away from the relaxed setup and unleash it? The 11 psi pulley will be on my list as well. How much power do you think that will add?

The 14 is typically a non issue, we're very comfortable with the engine mapping. As we see more and more 3.6 GC's we get the throttle and load mapping cleaner. No worried on that. The install is not complicated and we are always here to help. Either call the tech line or email.

When we have more data on the vehicles we are more conservative with more power. It won't be the power that's the problem, it's always ironing out the drive quality.

I'm super psyched to get this on my gc..if we can squeeze 340-350 whp out eventually..that's pretty close to the srt.

Pretty cool considering it's a v6

Re: Ripp Supercharging my 2014 3.6 Grand Cherokee

I installed the 3rd tune with some adjustments last evening and this is defiantly it. It took a little while for the shift points to settle in but it is now very smooth through out the band. The shifting is so much better on both WOT and partial throttle and normal driving. It really does drive better than stock. It doesn't have that sluggish feeling the 3.6 can have in warmer weather and just picks up and goes. I could not be happier with this mod. It's a must for us 3.6 guys!

We agree, its a tough choice between the 5.7 and the 3.6 if we had to buy one. The chassis responds so well to the added HP if feels completely stock. The engine calibration you are driving is very balanced and will fit a very wide range of clients.

Thanks for the kind words.
