That's GREAT news!!!

How's it feel off the line from a dead stop? Given it takes a bit for the blower to spool up does it feel sluggish off the line?

Can't wait to get mine now..only a couple more weeks of waiting..

It's spools pretty fast. It's not blazing out of the hole buts once it starts boosting you fly through the gears. You will not be disappointed. Even in the 80+ weather it is accelerating very well.

Actually this is one of the main reasons we originally went with a Centrifugal supercharger 15 years ago (that's how long we've been building kits).

RIPP has 21 years in the automotive performance industry. We have sold and installed plenty of positive displacements, turbos and nitrous. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. When it came time to make a RIPP kit, we fished out the best and it ended up being this Vortech. The centrifugal doesn't hit like a positive displacement off the line but it comes on real strong and is way more efficient to red-line. This naturally keeps the drive-line much safer at low RPM's and gives the torque management time to properly step up and manage shifts. A turbo has inherent lag's & back-pressures, heat and oil cross contamination. Lastly. lets face it, filling a nitrous bottle gets old, and it's never full when you want it to be. The Centrifugal is literally the very happy median. It's what we consider the great equalizer among forced induction options. In particular the V3 we have made to our specs by Vortech. It's properly sized, it makes great power along all our kits. Consider the same supercharger we use in all three Grand Cherokee's. The 6.4 makes 604AWD-HP with this blower at 7psi and 424AWD-HP on a 5.7 at 7psi and then 324AWD-HP on a 3.6 all at 7psi. That means the blower is perfectly matched to the engines natural air curve and is worked in sync with the volumetrics. Not to mention the ease of tuning on a global scale. Because this blower is insanely predictable, it's very easy for us to provide the type of support Gmgc2014 needed as we matured the kit. His last logs looked dead on perfect and considering this is a the start point, we'd be hard pressed to make a choice between a 3.6 and a 5.7 Grand Cherokee.

Inclosing, we would give up slight differences between the types of FI kits and focus on the total package. A vehicle that feels like it has a larger engine than it came with, with seamless power. That's what we always set out to a achieve and we think that's what Gmgc2014 is saying, it feels so good, it feel stock.

Questions welcome,
RIPPTECH

That's a great write up and I will confirm that it feels just like stock with a larger motor. You should have seen my cousins face when I took him last night in his 2014 5.7 gc. He didn't know what to say and had no clue because you can barely tell the blower is there. It is so quiet you can barely hear the little whistle.

Oh for sure you can beat a stock 5.7, even if it had some light work. The power and gearing are to your advantage. Actually, believe it or not, you can hang with an naturally aspirated SRT with headers, exhaust and K&N (NO TUNE). You can't beat it, you can just stick to his tail and lose with dignity

For any of those who care about the mpg, I'm now averaging 22mpg and I am not light on the foot. This is the best I have done with my jeep after 42k miles.

Can't say enough about my 5.7 kit. It puts a smile on my face every time I drive it. Best up grade hands down. If you want more power this is the only way to go.

You have any 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for 3.6 and 5.7 with the Ripp kit?

Gmgc is 22mpg your city mileage? What's your highway mileage now, also same question, were you able to get 0 to 60 times, looking forward to adding one in the near future

Re: Ripp Supercharging my 2014 3.6 Grand Cherokee

The 22 is combined while being heavy on the foot which is quite good considering it was 18-19 before blower with similar driving style. I haven't done any 0-60 tests as I don't have the proper equipment yet.
