Re: sooo is the mopar CAI any good?

The Mopar CAI for the 2011 has been in the catalog since last year. But I have yet to see it available for purchase. I would like to get people's experience with it when it is available (installation issues, performance, noise, etc.).

Re: sooo is the mopar CAI any good?

I am staying away from the CAI for this model jeep...the engine compartment get entirely too hot because it does not ventilate well at all and Im pretty sure you would be sucking up nothing but hot air...everyone on this site that has installed the BWoody has complained and a few have gone back to stock box...

I myself installed a drop in K&N air filter and noticed the difference as soon as I drove the vehicle...helped out with the ETC lag (not much but better) and I am getting 16 mpg...with a HEMI...i was getting 16mpg with my old straight 6 JGC so for me this is a huge improvement

Re: sooo is the mopar CAI any good?

A little old but I am bringing it back!

Why is this in the 2011+ section???

I went with the Volant CAI and I love it!!! It is made for the 6.1L, but it fits the 5.7L just fine. Plus this way when I start doing engine mods I wont have to swap the intake, because it is already made for a larger engine! I like the Volant over the others because the filter is in a box that only pulls air in from outside the engine compartment.

They are all basically good , mopar would be an excellent choice considering they are a factory aftermarket supplier. Hennessy and volant are also very good . Hennessy would be your more expensive performance supplier .
