Re: Sprint booster

Had some time on highway. I like both modes. Red/race mode is a little twitchy when you lay into it. It's nice to have less throttle lag. Most people won't care, but I didn't buy a Hemi to drive like a Civic. Is it worth $300 I would say for some it is. I like it and will keep it. We will see how I feel in a week or two.

I think you'll like it in the long run. I leave mine in race but I've learned to modulate the throttle very well

It's funny but my Civic actually has way less throttle lag than my WK2 lol...well, that changed with the SB though.

I believe it. I just was trying to think of a 4 cylinder vehicle.

Glad to hear it's a keeper! Did the SB solve all your lag issues and concerns on the Hemi?

The past few days I've been driving mine in red mode and as Strongjeff said I also feather the throttle so it's not jerky. (No lag at all) Just have to get used to a lighter touch on the pedal. Going to be driving 400 miles this weekend I'm just going to keep it in red mode.

LOL I'm sure you'll be just as satisfied as everyone else. So far not one complaint or return. Keep us all updated.......

Re: Sprint booster

For me (5.7L) I feel that green mode is still a worthy improvement and worth the investment.

I think red/race makes sport mode a little too unpredictable to me - not saying bad. I think after a couple of years I have become so accustomed to modulating the throttle position in sport mode to get the jeep to shift when I want it -- it's like we are dancing ... and red/race makes this a bit more erratic.

In green I can accelerate fairly hard in sport mode and let off slightly and get it to shift; in red/race, it sometimes wants to maintain that gear for longer than I need. Others may love that though

Re: Sprint booster

Has anyone explored or tried the Pedal Box option. It offers a lot more fine tuning and can also be turned on and off. It has 4 levels Sport, Sport Plus, City and Off.

http://www.pedalbox.com/en/product/all-new-pedalbox/

It's a European product. My cousin uses it on both his CLS 500 and Audi AllRoad.

I doubt anyone has here. I'm assuming they are basically the same.

Re: Sprint booster

They are basically the same with PedalBox having more adjustability than Speed Booster.

Re: Sprint booster

Just finished installing it but haven't driven it yet. IMO, the instructions could be just a little bit more informative relating to the two main connectors and their interface with the stock connectors but I finally got them I think. Will know when I drive it in a little while. The buttons do work.

It was difficult to get my 76 year old upper body in the proper position and yes, I had the seat moved all the way back. I plugged the SB connector to the stationary stock connector first. The cable to cable connection took a little bit longer. Then I plugged in the button connector and stuck the button on the driver's side panel so it sits just above my right thigh and is easy to reach plus it won't be noticed by the passenger.

And of course, I stuffed the cables behind the black panels.

Driving later and then another post.

The instructions are pretty basic. I hooked mine up in a different order but glad you got it done. If you didn't see my earlier posts I ran my switch to the center compartment.
