Deciding which one to get first. Which one would you choose and why?

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

Sprintbooster for sure. CAI won't do much but make noise. Check out the sprintbooster thread many satisfied customers.

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

I've had both ....personally the CAI makes the jeep sound much cooler...the Sprint booster just makes the throttle snappier

if you want sound go for the CAI...if you want the jeep to "feel" faster then get the booster...

I really liked the sound of the K&N CAI system on my jeep...when I had the supercharger installed I had to remove it ...and go back to the stock air box...sounds wayy better with the CAI

Now that I have the Stage 2 RIPP kit I get the bets of both worlds ...I have the supercharger + CAI now ...sounds mean

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

Sprint booster by far. It removes the hesitation/lag you feel when accelerating. The electronic throttle induces quite a bit of hesitation that I found very annoying. CAI makes noise but no real improvement from performance or economy due to the computer making allowances for any air flow changes. The sprint booster was worth every penny and my number one mod.

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

I have the sprint booster and I'm very happy with it! I would like to do the CAI as well though, want the sound!

As others have said, if you want to feel a difference go for the Sprint Booster if you want to hear a difference go for the CAI.

I had a CAI in my 370z. Great sound. Did nothing for the butt dyno

Where did you get your engine bay dressing? The colored stuff.

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

all of the engine dressing stuff is from billet technologies...they sell it for the SRT but pretty much everything works on the 3.6l

black ops also sells a couple of carbon pieces if you like carbon.

I have a blue oil cap if you want it?

My theme is black/red/white/grey so it wouldn't flow. Thanks for the info though

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

With the Sprint booster...you will find that the "Red" setting is too much and the "Green" or lower setting is just right. Unless....you are one of those people that like to have too much fun...if that's even possible...you would probably set it on "Red". It makes the vehicle feel faster and it isn't so much that it's faster...but quicker...or the response to the pedal is like right now! There's no delay. If you put it on the "Red" setting you will find (that is if you can really drive) that you will be out driving the breaks. Meaning that the vehicle goes forward much, much quicker than you can get it stopped...it gives you a sense that you don't have as much control. If that makes sense....Here's the best way I can describe it....it's like having AWD/4WD in snow and ice...you can go all day...but when it comes time to stop...it takes much longer...that same thing with the sprint booster it feels like you knocked about 2 seconds or more of the 0 to 60 time...I don't know this to be true because I haven't timed it.

Re: Sprint Booster vs K&N CAI

I had to remove my Sprint Booster because it was throwing off my Supercharger tunes...From what I saw...the Sprint boost tells the ECU that the throttle position is in a much different position than it really is....and my tuner was having a hard time getting the tune right because of the TPS being thrown off by the sprintbooster

if you're not looking to do any custom tunes then the Sprint Booster does make the jeep "Feel" faster ...but after taking it off...I don't think it actually does make it any faster

It's a little more expensive than I would have thought so this will have to come later down the line, especially since it won't be seen that often and doesn't change any performance.
