Thinking about this. Magnaflow 12568 Satin Stainless Steel 2.5" Dual Oval Muffler.
119 bucks on amazon so it's cheaper than 2 bullet type mufflers with a X or H pipe.

Drone should be minimal. Probably not much louder than stock which is fine, idle and wot will sound better.

Borla XR1 may have won the battle. I think! I don't know!

Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

There so cheap tho. After talking to a friend that drove cars at Bondurant for years he talked me out of borla. Said they were all pretty loud which is not exactly what I'm looking for.

Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

Wardo, do you know anything about this muffler. I do not want it too loud as the misses won't appreciate and for all the long drives we take the jeep. I am converting the 3.6 to dual and will still be keep the resonators. Just need to replace the single i/o suitcase

I don't have any personal experience with this exact muffler but have had a bunch of MF mufflers in the past. I talk to a owner at a very busy exhaust shop in Los Angeles and he said this muffler should be pretty dang quite and perfectbased on my goals.

V6 are a lot different in sound volume compared to a v8. They tend to be louder imo.

But I don't think it will be loud to the point of being to loud.
