Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

Thanks. I bought based on what you said earlier and your goals seem similar to mine in terms of noise. I might install next week but time is tight as heading to DC to move son back into college.

Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

Bad news on that Magnaflow as I do not see how it will fit. Went to Lou's custom and the magnaflow is definately longer than the suitcase and with the drive train kind of in the middle of the suitcase (the suitcase is shaped like a "U") there is no way for the magnaflow to fit. I am returning it and just thinking of doing a "Y" off the suitcase which will just get me the drivers exhaust output. I would like a bit more sound but don't have the time or money to experiment.

Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

I don't know the dimensions. The big problem is the shape and the drive train that runs right through the U. But the one I got is too long or very close. The two pipes that also come into the suitcase are much wider than the magnaflow so that would have to be customized as well. I think this part would be used for the back on a full magnaflow installation that you see a diagram of. Almost right under spare tire trailer hitch location.

Re: Swapping the suitcase muffler

I really would like to get a Corsa catback but can't spend that kind of money now. The Flowmaster Force II catback was cheap at $700 shipped but I'm not sure about fitment on my '16 HA, plus I want to keep the factory black tips. I chose to replace the suitcase with 2 Flowmaster Super 10's. There is a noticeable sound difference but no drone. I'm still in break in but it is a little raspy if you get on it. Overall, I am pleased with the price point and it can always be changed.
