Correct, I meant Procharger's Kit vs RIPP Kit. I was with "notansrt" (from Instagram) right after he installed the ripp kit on his 5.7, and he said his tuner said he would've gotten close to 50 extra horsepower if he had the procharger system

Depends on what blower was used and the tune. Also depends on the pulley used

Re: Thinking about an SuperCharger...

The Ripp kit uses the vortec v3 blower unit and blow off valve

If the pro charger is making more power than the ripp then it would have to come down to boost and tune I would think

The blower is just a big hairdryer pushing air into the engine..if the procharger has a better intercooling system that may allow them to run a hotter tune with the same boost ?

I've been through 2 different ripp kits but haven't tried the procharger yet.as they didn't make. 3.6l kit when I was looking for a blower

Actually, they are based on the Vortech V3 units.

About the stock SRTs vs the SC 3.6s... Don't forget the weight difference and tranny config. It would be interesting to see a whp/kg comparison.

Re: Thinking about an SuperCharger...

I personally love the Ripp supercharger setup on my 3.6l

I've had a few diff configs and it really produces hp as claimed

I just had a totally custom 1 off 3.6l long block built for me ..took 6 months ..and it's being installed next week

I'll be using my Ripp stage 2 sc setup on this engine putting ~14lbs of boost through it ..I expect the hp to be pretty decent ..I'll let you know how it turns out but it should be pretty fast

Shooting for a 500+ hp to the wheels #

Ajag, are you doing anything with the tranny? Or just stock?

Re: Thinking about an SuperCharger...

Hey guys! New member here and my first post. I am very familiar with superchargers and all types of performance modifications to engines. My question is more based on how the extra performance of a supercharger affects the AWD/4WD capabilities of these vehicles. I have a 2013 GCO (Grand Cherokee Overland) with the 5.7 Hemi. I bought this as a vehicle to use here in NJ Winter months if we get snow. Being a performance enthusiast, I would like the option to supercharge, but not if it will sacrifice my ability to drive thru snowy conditions. So, do any of you guys with blowers ever use your vehicle in snow? If so, how is it? I'm assuming it wouldn't be too bad.
