timing chain issue resolved?

I was reading online regarding my Hemi to familrize my self with this monster engine, and I came across the timing chain issue related to certain models with MDS, affected vehicles were chargers, challengers and 300s from 2009-2012.

Has this issue been resolved the models afters? I can't seem to find a diffident answer online.
Just worrying about the Hemi in my Jeep.. really thinking of disabling the MDS with the intune i2 tuner and not worry about it.

Anyone experienced such an issue in later models, 2013+

thanks !!

Re: timing chain issue resolved?

The timing chain and tensioner, i searched hemi 5.7 timing belt and came with all these posts in forums about the issue.
Even Chrysler address it to solve.
Basically the chain snaps around 80-120k miles while cruising around 50-70mph. Mds mode active also

And here my question came, did the really?

Re: timing chain issue resolved?

I guess that the issue was described for 09-12 MY hemi, most likely not for the WK2 hemies.
Hope they fixed thatat WK2 hemi.
Anyway I have MDS switched off for two reasons, first because of useless due to my driving surrounding an habits and because of some drone with my modified exhaust.

Re: timing chain issue resolved?

I believe in 2012 they updated the chain, tensioners and guides. Problem was only related to the LX and LD cars.

I havent heard anyone having hemi chain issues on Jeeps, Rams or 2013+ LX LD hemis with the MDS
