Talking Tired of 5.7L Sound, So I did something about it (Videos)

Just like the thread title suggests, I couldn't stand the "sleepy" sound of the Hemi even at WOT and finally did decided to modify the exhaust.

Been lurking on the forums for quite some time now, but am by no means a newbie at this vehicle modification stuff. Below are my previous three vehicles - all with a stupid (and unhealthy) amount of money spent on performance or aesthetic modifications. I think I am officially a member of damn near every car forum out there!

Anyway, been researching feedback on the various exhaust setups out there and was waffling around between installing the Gibson or the Corsa (based on the positive feedback). Then I heard the Borla ATAK, but later confirmed that it required modification to fit the 5.7L perfectly. After being unable to decide, I called up my local exhaust place to brainstorm a custom exhaust. What we came up (sound-wise) is witnessed in the following videos.

Stock 5.7L V8 Exhaust (Mopar CAI installed)

Custom 5.7L V8 Exhaust (Mopar CAI installed)

I'm sure I'll play around with it more... but IMO, this is how a V8 should sound.

No idea why the bottom of the OP is screwed up....

BTW... stock exhaust tip is approx 3.5", the new set up is with 4" tips.

Also.. the exhaust drones (but no vibration) at 2000 to 2300 RPM between 60-65 mph. Anything under or over eliminates the minor drone.

I did notice the stock exhaust (with Mopar CAI) droned at the same speed. It was less audible but did cause minor vibration.
