I will tomorrow when i get back from work. I dont think the neighbors would be too happy with me outside revving the engine at this hour.. LOL

Hood up or down?

The sound may be quite different as i have noticed it is louder with a "load" on the engine.. But i will record it and let you be the judge.

I believe Airaid has an intake out for the Pentastar. I also am selling ported Pentastar throttle bodies.

it's literally one of the easiest things to do. the only tricky part for me was removing the IAT from the stock pipe. Took me a minute to figure out i needed a small screwdriver to lift up the tab keeping me from twisting it out. After that, its a piece of cake

I also found it a little difficult to insert the IAT into the new pipe w/grommet... The grommet wanted to slide into the intake tube while I was inserting the IAT sensor.

I ended up removing the grommet from the new tube and after putting the IAT in the grommet, inserted both into the intake tube.

Re: Volant CAI

any trick to getting the engine cover to snap back into place after the install? as stupid as this sounds I lined up all 4 pegs and no matter how hard I push down it doesn't snap into place. I can easily lift the cover back up, so i'm afraid if i start driving it'll wobble around.

any help would be appreciated. thx

Re: Volant CAI

I seem to have the best luck if I line up and "click in" the passenger side first then the driver rear then the fuss with the front one by the oil fill.

The pcv hose going to the new intake wanted to hold up my drivers side of the cover until i rotated it around to have the hose come through the large cutout on the side.

Hey Deserthucker,

How do you find the CAI, do you find its all just noise? Or improved throttle response etc? (You using 98RON fuel yeah?) Also, how much did it cost you for shipping to WA? (I would think it'd be a bit cheaper to Eastern States, but then again, Canberra gets a premium slapped on everything so not sure)

EDIT: Just read through more of the thread and saw $85 for shipping.

Has anyone got this onto a dyno yet?
