Re: Volant CAI

So I romped around and the sound is a definite improvement. The jeep in general is very quiet inside the cab so if you are looking for a nice sound at ALL RPMs you might be disappointed. That being said, when you get your foot into the pedal a little bit the sound comes alive. Sounds like a completely different animal. One of the other people who installed it said they might skip the exhaust upgrade (for sound purposes only) and I would have to agree. The sound of the engine with this CAI is all I need.

The response also has a definite improvement. The throttle lag is improved and the off the line acceleration seems to be improved as well. The butt dyno likes it all around, as for real numbers, your guess is as good as mine.

Read the prior post and a coupon code I posted. I wouldn't waist the money to do a before and after dyno but it for sure cleans up the throttle lag and seems to be a bit of an HP gain but that could just be the hemi making good growl now tricking my brain. I'll try and take a video with my iPhone latter.

Ahh, good deal. I was kinda curious if there is much difference over the K&N. I'll vouch and say the K&N did indeed help with throttle pep -- but beyond that the difference is negligible. So I'm hoping the intake is an exponential improvement.

Re: Volant CAI

Is the Volant an open box on the side by the fender? Can't wait for the vids as well.

Re: Volant CAI

Ok guys ... Pictures not needed ..simple install. I had the k&n in and went to this cai. Lot more pep and more resonance from the engine, smoother shifts. Deffinate improvement and increased hp. Only issue I can see is changing the air filter ...looks like you have to take the box off. Would I spend the money again ...yes and yes again. Really let's the engine breath. How many horses? I would guess 8 hp. But that is my opinion.
