Question Wait Until After Break In?

If I am going to install a new exhaust is it best to wait until after the 300 mile break in period? (Even though I don't want too because the Corsa exhaust sounds awesome)

Re: Wait Until After Break In?

If you're concerned, go for a 300 mile drive this weekend.

Not concerned but I don't want to be doing something stupid.

You're not.
... other than perhaps not going for the 300 mile drive.

Unless it is available locally, by the time it arrives one would expect you to have a few more miles anyhoo. Not that I can think of any harm in swapping out the exhaust at delivery.

I've had an exhaust installed at delivery before. There is no harm in it. Just let it warm up completely before doing your WOT runs with the new exhaust!

And he knows better than the engineers who designed it?

But I did just read it on the internet, so it must be true.
