Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Best I seen was 34, and the worst around 24. Depends how and where I drive.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

5.7 always in sport mode. Around town, about 12 mpg. Highway is 18-23 depending on road, flat vs hilly, etc. I have a heavy foot for accelerating...

I've put in 2 tanks since purchasing, 17.19 and 15.69. Overland is 100% stock, 33k miles, been putting 89 octane in. I do use remote start and A/C is always on in Arizona.

What's the deal? I'm coming from an E-class AMG that averaged 21-23 out of a 5.4L V8.
Remote start kills your average. Remember, you are getting 0 mpg in remote start or at stop signs. You have to be getting much higher while moving.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

89 octane in the 3.6 isn't helping either as it's not tuned for the higher octane.

Traded the 3.0 at 36,000…Loved the Summit…Got another with 5.7 because 3.0 was late availability. We will see how this one works out!

Good point. As soon as the temps drop below 100 consistently I won't be using remote start as much, or a/c for that matter.

I put 87 in this last tank and took a trip out of town this last weekend so we will see what this tank is. I'm so used to nothing but 91 in the Mercedes.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Just hit 1,000 miles. I am averaging 15 mpg 80% city, 20% highway driving. I occasionally use sports mode and sometimes have a heavy foot.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

I took a 63 mile cruise around he Phoenix metro area with the CC set at 72 and I averaged 36 mpg. The last 368 miles my average is 29.8 mpg. 1,700 miles of ownership and my average is 28.8 mpg: approximately 60/40 city/hwy and lots of remote start.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

You use remote start to cool down the car; how long do you let it run before getting in?

I'm my old Infiniti FX35, I would notice a 5-7mpg drop during Chicago winters because of warming up the car 10 minutes with remote start.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Cold engines in cold weather drink fuel and are horribly inefficient. That's why in states that emission test, they tell you to make sure your engine is up to operating temperature BEFORE you have it tested.
