Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Here's a map of the route I took. As you can see, the mileage was considerably worse up north. I did fight some high winds during the time I was getting 17.7 mpg and was driving a little faster too, but that's a big difference between 17.7 and 25.6. Maybe I just need to do my traveling down south.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Some states have lower octane ratings for their "regular" grade than others. I ran into that out west several times and had to use the middle grade to get the 87 octane for the Jeep. Could that be the problem?

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Averaging 23.6 to 23.8 doing mixed everyday suburban driving; highest on a trip (mostly highway with some lights here or there was 28.5. This is via the EVIC on a 2014 Summit V6. I find the EVIC to be 0.8 to 1 mpg higher than calculated.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

11 Overland 5.7L Hemi with 4x4 - right now im at 17.4, but average between 15-17

I was planning on doing an intake, exhaust, and a tune. Now I'm nervous about losing MPG. I expected to lose a little, but not a ton. I drive around 60-70 miles round trip to work each day. Would those mods really lower my MPG? or what should I expect to be around? I know a lot depends on driving style as well.

Re: What is everyone's MPG?

Have travelled just over 12,000 miles now in my Eco Diesel.

With a mixture of towing, city & freeway, my average so far since new is 29.8 mpg.

Best I have got on a trip is 39.8 mpg

Love the diesel.......

Cheers, Craig

Thread revival. I just took a 600 mile trip with adaptive cruise set at 81mph. I averaged 20.1mpg in my 15' SRT with the 6.4L on eco mode.

Pretty good. Does your V-8 shut down cylinders when cruising?
