Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

I've read my manual. It clearly states to only use 5W-20 that meets Chrysler MS-6395 spec. I simply asked what, if any other brands of oils meet those weights and specifications, other than Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic. Not an essay from you bragging about what you think you know.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

If you had an understanding of viscosity you would realise its also the same. You asked the question i gave the answer. If you disagree nobody is making you use it

I would like to know that as well. Have been Mobil 1 fan for years but will give Pennzoil a try ...

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

5W-20, and 5W-20 ONLY is the weight oil the manual states clearly to use for proper operation of the MDS System on the 2015 5.7 HEMI Engine.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

ok bill you've busted my balls before so here goes yet again, i bet if i asked you anything on your bill of rights as a gun owner you would be fluent and convincing because i know nothing of the worst law in american history i would have to believe in you no matter how screwed it sounded. why the average person needs a gun is beyond me..
anyway back on the subject of which i know something about. my local dealer has said this oil more than meets the requirements they even use it for some of there customers that dont want the chrysler branded oils. i have used it since new just today doing my 72000km service, my MDS system has never faulted.. i have attached further proof this oil meets requirements as per the manual and just for you a link in laymans terms explaining viscosity. even wrote in yankie land from amsoil..
Motor Oil Viscosity Grades Explained in Layman's Terms

the manual is very clear how its written Every page refers to the oil meeting the requirements of MS-6395, of which my oil does..
have a good day bill there are more than one way to skin a redneck, manuals are always written for the dumbest to easily understand follow the manual and you cant go wrong.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

None of your photos or silly babble about guns matters. Simply because Jeep (Chrysler) recommends 5W-20 oil.......... NOT 0W-20 for the 5.7 HEMI V-8. If they wanted you to use a weight other than 5W-20, they would have said that. They have it marked both on the engine oil fill cap, as well as in the manual. Nowhere in my 2015 owners manual is 0W-20 even mentioned.

Besides, I live in a very hot climate. Why would I choose an oil with less viscosity then what's recommended by the manufacturer? Why is common sense so obviously uncommon with you?

Your argument is both foolish and nonsensical. Overall 0W-20 has less viscosity than 5W-20. Why would anyone living in a high temperature climate choose an oil with LESS viscosity? It is also NOT recommended in the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee owners manual, and 5W-20 IS. There is not a single reason you could possibly come up with, that makes any sense what so ever, why I would choose to substitute such a product.
