Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

What sivermax said or Mobil 1. 5W20 as recommended in my Owners Guide.

Nothing but a full synthetic for all of my vehicles.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Pennzoil is what FCA uses now-a-days, and what I've read about it impresses me, so I switched from being a Mobil 1 user right before the WK2's first oil change. Mobil 1 is not a bad oil (especially when Costco runs their $26 or $28 sale prices for 6 quarts), but from my research, Pennzoil's top end synthetics seem to be better. Whether the "better" is noticeable or not, I don't know, but to me its worth a few dollars more for peace of mind.

5w-20 Ultra Platinum for our WK2.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Probably will not keep vehicle beyond 60,000 miles so I use whatever oil comes down the hose from the tank in the ceiling of the dealer.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

Synthetic from first change. I really don't care on the brand...whatever the dealer or independent shop is using is fine with me as long as it meets or exceeds the Jeep specifications. Dealer uses Penzoil; mechanic uses Kendal.

Re: Whats your choice of oil for your WK2?

The cheaper Pennzoil synthetic at the closest dealer. He charges a decent price and has a quick change service, so I can go when I want. I got the unlimited mileage warranty, so I'm going to use dealers for oil changes to document them in case I need it. I had been using Mobil 1 and it always worked well for me. But I am sure Pennzoil is just as good, and it meets FCA's oil standard.
