Wk2 5.7 flowmaster hushpower and Gibson Axle back

Today I installed the Gibson axle back exhaust on my 2011 wk2 summit. I had previously installed the flowmaster hushpowers in place of the suitcase muffler in combination with the stock resonators. The resonators really made the exhaust quiet though. Figured I'd try the Gibson axle back combined with the flowmaster hushpowers after seeing a lot of you try it with the stock suitcase muffler. It sounds pretty good with the stock suitcase muffler, but IMO it sounds way more aggressive with this set up. I wasn't really able to get any good video, and honestly it doesn't do it justice anyway, but here is what I have so far. Driving the highway, the cab is still pretty quiet. You can have a conversation, hear the radio, etc. I drove a bit with nothing but the hushpowers and boy was it loud. Sounded badass, but it was just too much noise for me all around. This set up is just right for me. I have a kid on the way and I think the child would be able to sleep pretty soundly in the car, no problem.

I think you might want to turn those two clamps to the side.
It sounds awesome!

Agreed, gonna do that soon. Sort of unsightly the way they are. Probably just going to weld them on later.

Thanks!

Re: Wk2 5.7 flowmaster hushpower and Gibson Axle back

it sounds awesome, but I just noticed you don't have an X or H pipe in there.. do you feel any loss in torque or power?
