Re: WK2 5.7 Hemi Available Exhaust Options...

Struggling a little bit guys. I have the Gibson axleback on my V8 and want a bit more grunt. Will getting a replacement suitcase muffler do the trick? And if so which one? Or maybe swapping it out for an X-pipe? Or will the drone be too bad. I am in a pickle and don't quite have the money to get a whole new catback exhaust. Thanks to anyone that can help with this in advance. I have been reading for a couple days but haven't quite found the answer.

Still struggling. I am leaning toward just taking the suitcase muffler out and putting straight pipes in its place with the Gibsons installed. Anyone know if the drone will be bad or if the Gibson resonators in back are what control the drone. Thanks.

Oh man the drone would be terrible. From my experience the Gibsons are just hollow cans and increase drone. I swapped them out and tossed them in the garbage. Then went with my current setup in my sig.

Thanks for the response. Right now I have zero drone with the Gibsons, just want it a bit louder. I also have the mds disabled. Every shop around says they can't replace the suitcase muffler because of its awkward size so that's why I thought of just removing it. I love small town Wisconsin but it sucks for customizing.

Re: WK2 5.7 Hemi Available Exhaust Options...

DaMitsuMan, I would scrap the Gibson & replace it with a Corsa exhaust! The only warrantied true 'no drone' exhaust & I have yet to see anyone not happy with a Corsa! The Corsa is not cheap but you get what you pay for!

That looks sick. I have to ask because I cannot find an axle back anywhere for the GC, where did u order from? I don't want or need a cat back.

That clip sounds good. Wish you would have rev'd a bit but still sounds nice. I've thought about doing the same and cutting the suitcase but haven't pulled trigger.

I posted a similar question a while back in the SRT section as I was thinking bout getting the MRT axle back kit (sounds bad ass) on the SRT but they only sell it for the 6.4. How hard of a mod did u do? How much did it cost? The mod I mean?

What I am looking for is a sound like the Flowmaster outlaws if anyone is familiar with those of not check me out. I'd even get the American Thunder(had on my previous SS camaro) but again they don't sell em for the GC. I really don't want to mod but if I have to then I probably will. Now those I mentioned I'm sure I can get just the mufflers but wish the kit was readily available.

Should bolt up on the 5.7 wk2 with little modding. Basically you need a reducer to mate up the smaller 5.7 pipes to the larger 6.4 pipes.

Mine wasn't hard to do, I did all the fabrication myself
