Not an air/oil cooler but this is an OEM Mopar oil cooler setup for a 5.7 hemi that works with your OEM radiator, using the OEM temp. control parameters. It comes from the factory as an available 5.7L hemi "police package" oil cooler option and can be installed on any Chrysler 5.7L hemi;

It turns out we can use the OEM oil cooler setup from some late model police package Durango's for our 5.7L Hemi equipped WK2 Grand Cherokees!

The 2013 and 2014 WD (Durango) has an available oil cooler for the 5.7 as part of the police service package {AHV Production code}. With some part swapping, all the parts which make this up are a direct fit for the 5.7L WK2. It does involve some work though and it's not just an oil cooler.

You will need:

05038677AB Water pump.
It's different from the stock one in that it has an outlet for the oil cooler inlet.

05038697AA Oil cooler tube connector (goes onto the water pump nipple).

52014895AC Radiator outlet hose. Includes the hose to the oil cooler.

52014896AB Engine coolant to oil cooler hose. This one goes from the water pump to the oil cooler. Includes a bracket that mounts to the engine.

06509216AA Bolt. For mounting the bracket from the above hose.

04893310AA Engine oil cooler. Mounts onto the existing oil filter adapter. Includes seal and extended oil filter fitting. Check out the link below for pics of this setup.

These parts should bolt right up to your 5.7L Hemi and are all OEM Mopar!

Requiring a new OEM water pump, this isn't exactly the easiest or cheapest modification in the world, but it's a factory OEM bolt-on and doesn't require cutting coolant hoses, or major modifications to make it work.

So why this police package only available for 4x2 Durango not the 4x4 ? :-!

Re: WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

I really have no idea which Durango platforms the {AHV} "police package" oil cooler was/is available on. A better question is why isn't it available as a HD oil cooling option on our 5.7L hemi equipped WK2's??

Regardless we can retrofit it to work on our 5.7L Hemi's using all OEM Mopar parts for increased oil cooling, for those that might need it!
