WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

hello guys
did anyone try this !! does it make any difference

JET - Thermostat reduce engine temp from F195 to 180

http://marylandspeed.com/jet-180-degree-thermostat-fits-57l-61l-hemi-engines-jet-10183-p-1095.html

I am considering it due to our hot weather

Re: WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

then how to drop it further , if you check what I did to the hood in my photos I managed to bring it down from 110C to 95-97C I guess I will order 2 oil coolers for the engine & gearbox oil , any suggestions on how to make the engine temp cooler as its in our normal hot days you can feel the performance is not on its best !! so any ideas or suggestions !!

Dude, there's thousands of explosions going on in there? How cold do you expect it? Its running temp from the factory is where it should be... I'm failing to understand why your so worried about it being so low

I had a 180 degree stat in my Magnum. All it did was throw codes.

Id say the best solution would be to get a lower thermostat and somehow have the ability to turn on the engine cooling fans at a lower temperature. This would be either with a handheld tuner or fan switch.

Ok so I guess not having brake lights is nothing big. Im simply saying that you can only get it so low, its an internal combustion engine..... fire is hot....

Re: WK2 GC - Reducing Hemi Engine temp

And I didnt do anything wrong? All I stated was the same thing anyone else is gonna answer with, you can only get it so low, the new Tstat is the best bet, and that its an internal combustion engine, the rad cools a metal block that contains thousands of small explosions.... and OP, an aftermarket cold air intake can also potentially help your performance if thats why you want it lower, by allowing the engine to take in cooler air.
