Does anyone know of any company that makes shorty headers for the 5.7 Hemi? I reached out to American Racing but I don't want to spend $1,800 on headers and midpipes. Shorty header is the way I would like to go. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!!!

Seems that the WK2 has so little engine compartment clearance no one wants to tackle it. All I've seen is custom $tuff and many of those fabricators say don't come back... :)

Couldn't help it, so I pulled the trigger!!! Went to AR and spoke to the owner, Nick. Great guy. Very friendly and straight forward. I made an appointment to get the headers done next Wednesday. They put my hemi on the lift and determined they can use the same headers as they currently make for the SRT8. I will try to post up a video before headers go on and after. Car already has a Corsa catback and I am getting 1 3/4 headers and midpipes.

Do you have to worry about inspection in NY? The headers and high flow cats will probably trigger a CEL, which you can easily have a tuner get rid of by turning off the O2 sensors, but that won't help at inspection time in states where they do OBD2 checks.

Gotcha

O2 sims required or simply tune out the codes? What's the cost on the header set up they offer? Thanx in advance!

It's pricy. $1800 for headers and mid pipes, installation included. But American racing and Kooks are top of the line. When I get the custom tune I can account for the headers by adding fuel at WOT, but for now I will simply erase the codes. The owner assured me I can drive the car for 100000 miles and it will not detonate the engine.

Subscribed also. very interested in hearing how these sound, and if any codes popped up.
