Would you put a Throttle Body on this set up?

Greetings folks, I am pretty new here and wanted to ask the experts a question. I have a 2011 GC with the 5.7 Hemi that I have added a Mopar CIA and a dual cat back Borla exhaust. If so do you think a Mopar TB would make the exhaust louder? I am looking for performance but nothing that is going to make the car louder. If you would recommend the Mopar TB, what kind of performance enhancements do you think it would bring? Thanks for your help.

Re: Would you put a Throttle Body on this set up?

MM, I have a similar setup to yours, and also added the Flyin Ryan ported throttle body. It was more noticeable at first, but eventually the PCM learns the new flows, and dumbs down to basic fuel efficiency as a priority. Such is the curse of modern engines prior to the tuners becoming available. Further, it is doubtful we get any real gains out of the aftermarket CAI and exhausts as well until the codes are cracked. YMMV.

That said, Ryan is a knowledgeable and solid guy, who makes a great product and reasonable price. He'll likely chime in here, but check a search and/or look in our vendor section, many members are pleased with his stuff including me.

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

Thanks Bernard.

To the OP: The TB will make the vehicle slightly louder inside under heavy throttle. I've never had anyone complain about the additional noise.

I've done a handful of WK2 throttle bodies now, and it seems to be a worthwhile addition to them. That said, I am on a porting hiatus while I move, and take a new job.
