17" tire size

Looking to put the RR leveling kit on my 2011 Grand. Anyone know if a 265/70 R17 will fit under w/o other mods? If not, what is a good size for a 17" wheel? I want it to look good, not silly.

Re: 17" tire size

Is that on a stock Jeep or did you level it out? How about a 255/65/17?

Re: 17" tire size

I have the stock tires and wheels from my 13 Rubicon on there with the RRO leveling kit. They fit perfect!

Jeep looks awesome. Thanks for the info - more helpful than the folks at RRO!

Re: 17" tire size

Would the stock size 245/70/17 fit on these? I don't want to get a lift kit but love the wheels.

Re: 17" tire size

I'm running 265-65-17 AT/3s with no issues at all (no lift). I'm having 1.5 Bora spacers installed within 2 weeks.

Re: 17" tire size

I have 265/70R17 Nitto Trail Grapplers on mine with no rub. No lift either. I've read that this is the biggest you can go without issues. They measure 31.56". I'll attach a pic of mine.

Thanks for the info. Your Jeep looks great. How do you like your wheels?

Love the wheels. They get all kinds of looks and compliments. I would recommend them for sure. Surprisingly still a smooth ride and the road noise is minimal. Since that last pic my front grill is plasti dipped black to match the back brow. My calipers are now red also. Subtle detail that looks great. Rear taillights are also now tinted. I'll post pics once I have some good ones. Keep us posted and post pics of yours also!

Re: 17" tire size

This is the day I brought it home. I installed tow hooks, and got some Rugged Ridge floor mats. Other than that, she's still pretty much stock. Planning on a RR leveling kit, and some wheels/tires. I can't decide if I want to go up to a 20" or down to a 17"... Either way, I'm looking at a 31.5" tire. Any suggestions/recommendations? I'll keep the stock 18s and run dedicated winter tires - pretty crappy roads in Northern NY.

Re: 17" tire size

I would go 17" rim with more tire sidewall. More rugged look. I like the tow hook idea might do that soon. Whatever you decide its going to look good either way. Good luck!
