h2Obuff,

Are your Nitto's the OEM size or are they 275/55/20?

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Thanks! How is the ride compared to the OE Forteras, noise wise and otherwise?

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

The ride is similar, no real difference in road feel.

Noise is same to very slightly more in some circumstances, but really the noise difference is negligible.

I took them off road yesterday in very sandy condition and they were great, cant wait to try some mud soon and see how they do, I know they will be much better than the stocks (in my '12 i got stuck several times with the Foreras, hence I got the Nitto's this time.)

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Just put on a set of terra grapplers in stock size. Look much better than the fortera did.Ride seems the same, maybe a little heavier feel.

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Tires look great! I am running the Forteras but then change to winter tires for the winter season. I want to avoid the tire change and am hoping the Terra Grapplers perform well enough in snowy conditions. I realize they will not be as good as dedicated winter tries but maybe good enough?

This will be my next set of tires. Cant complain with my current Fortrezas though. No vibrations whatsoever till speeds of 90. Also did very well when it was pouring. No aquaplaning. Although i do agree they might not do well in snow

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Forgot to mention that I bought these brand new off a guy from Craigslist, for $650. Just sold my stock Fortera's with just under 13k mile son them for $300.

So I basically got these Nitto's for $350, brand new.

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Just FYI for anyone looking at these, you can get brand new, factory size 265-50r20 Terra Grapplers from Tirebuyer.com right now for $638 shipped (before any sales tax). They come up to about $708 for the set and you can get a 10% discount by entering a coupon code. I ordered a set on Monday night, and they are being delivered to my installer this morning, even w/ the free shipping.

Installed, stock size. As I've heard others say, they do appear more aggressive in person. Hard to notice in pictures.

Have only had a chance to drive around town on them so far; honestly haven't noticed any difference from the Forteras noise-wise.

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

'14 Overland 20in wheels with 265/50 Nitto Terra Grapplers. So far love them, but did go away for the weekend and when I went to drive away I had some pretty decent flatspot related steering wheel shaking as it went away after a few miles. Have jeep recommended 36 psi in them? Anyone using more?
