Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

I have the Terra Grapplers in 275/55/20. Have about 30k miles on them and they have been holding up beautifully. Went offroading at Rowher this past weekend and they performed beautifully. The OD Difference will decrease your mileage by about 6% which is really nothing at city speeds, and about 4mph at highway speeds. Just keep that in mind and enjoy the larger diameter rubber. Your ride will be more comfortable and your ride sexier. Daily I drive at 40psi and offroading aired down to 30psi.

Just a heads up on stock replacement terra grapplers. They are a great time. Super in the snow and handle great but they are just down right noisy. Some of the others on here said not much louder than the forterra's but they have considerable howl to them. Not MT loud but you definitely know they aren't stock. I am hoping they wear in a little bit and quiet down. I have 400 miles on them.

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Sorry no offense but I disagree , I hardly notice any noise, not to mention they will and do ware great , you will not be disappointed , I personally think that these tires outperform most other AT's out there, thats just from my experience

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

I think the Nittos are pretty sensitive to wheel alignment. Mine were set up originally at OR1 height by mistake. The noise difference running at OR1 and AUTO was night and day. They have since been re-aligned at SPORT (or AERO) height and seem pretty good although noisier than the stock HT's. Might be worth an alignment check?

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Noise is really not much different than oem to me... But I did have to rotate twice to get a steering wheel that didn't shake at 75mph.. Probably not the tires' fault, but just throwing it out there.. And snow is one thing, ice is another. They are no good on ice. But then again what non-snow tires are?

Now that we are in the middle of winter. Does everyone still like the Nittos in the snow?

Mine have been great. Better than the Fortera's, which weren't that bad.

^^ I agree.

Only thing better than OEM on ice is probably Blizzak, but these are a bit better in deeper snow. I really don't want winter wheel rotations so this is a reasonable alternative. And 3 seasons out of 4 they are excellent. They ain't so great on ice, though, as I've said...

Anyone else want to share some long-term usage with 275/55/20 without any lift under different conditions, beach, trail, etc. Any rubbing at all?

Re: 20" Nitto Terra Grapplers

Does anyone have TG's in 285/50r20 size?

I'd like something a little wider than my 265/50 to go on some 20x9 srt reps and was wondering how they look if anyone has pics..
