2011 Highway Steering Wheel Shake

I've read a lot of threads on the 2014 and the tire balance problem. On my 2011, I've ruled out a wheel/tire issue, I was curious if anybody else had another component that contributed to a highway vibration. (axle, hub, etc.) I'm going out of my mind here.

Re: 2011 Highway Steering Wheel Shake

There is a new Service Bulletin issued in October 2014 for 2011 to 2014 WK2s which calls for replacing the front hubs and wheel bearings to eliminate the "shake". That may be the cause of the problem.

Re: 2011 Highway Steering Wheel Shake

I have vibration at 65-75MPH. I notice it mostly in the rear view mirror. I notice it when the out door temps are below 15F. I think it is a engine oil or transmission fluid temp issue. When driving down the interstate the oil will be around 160F and the tranny temp is 107F or below. Both are below what i believe to be normal. When I let the vehicle idle and warm up the vibration goes away until the temps fall back down. The vibration only occurs when operating in MDS. I have two sets of wheels. 20'' with Forteras and 18" with Silent Armors. So it isn't a tire issue. That is my 2 cents.
