Well, zero help was offered from customer care...
And even the service center acknowledged that Quadra Lift has always been problematic.

I'm done with this brand and it's probably time to consult with a class action attorney.

Kind of what I expected. 2-3 years out of warranty and the fact that extended warranties are offered, I wouldn't expect them to cover it. That would be a signal to everyone else that you shouldn't buy an extended warranty, just complain and expect Jeep to pick up the tab.

They still might in the end, which would be a nice gift.

The times are a changing just have to start thinking about the GC like you do a BMW or Range Rover, roll the dice if you own them out of warranty. $6900 for a couple struts is ridiculous and is 3 times the cost of the lifetime maxcare.

OP Id keep pushing them but would not expect help on that as a given, anything you get out of them will be some type of good faith offering as its outside your 3/36. But I agree crazy price for some struts

And check this out... To replace the rear door actuator:

parts: 143.17
labor: 731.02

I asked for a detailed breakdown and this is what I get.
Where are the man hours x hourly rate??? Even at 100 an hour, its not a 7.5 hour job to replace a door lock.

I smell price gouging. This will potentially be reported over to the BBB and FTC.

Those #s dont make sense.

That is a great question for the dealer. You might want to get that information and include it with your complaints.

The FTC won't be much help. Here is their position on individual complaints.

"The FTC cannot resolve individual consumer complaints, but we have tips to help you get your money back."

You may have a local/state agency that will help, but usually you have to spend money first.

After you get a real detailed estimate, check with another dealer. While unlikely, it is possible the numbers are correct.

Good Luck.
