I bought a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overloand V6 Loaded with everything that I could option onto it. I have 20"s and the Good year Forta Tires.
At about 65-75 MPH I get a pretty bad wheel shimmer. I noticed it at about 125 miles, so I called the dealer and told them that I would be on vacation for some time and I would call when I got back. So I setup an appointment for today and took the jeep for service.
I received a call about 2 hours later that everything was ok... I asked if they had fixed it? They only mentioned that they drove a new 2012 on the lot and it did something similar so they proceeded to tell me that it was ready to pickup.
Upon further inspection I found out that it seams all they did was rotate the tires from the front to back and the back to the front. I found that hard to believe that this was there fix for the problem.
I have emailed my really good salesman and I have asked him how he thinks that I should proceed. He emailed me back and was nice enough to send the information onto the service manager.
So my question is, does anyone else seam to be having this same issue? If you have been able to fix can you let me know what you did to resolve the issue? I am concerned about the tires cupping and the fact that I bought a 46K sticker SUV and it shakes at 65MPH...
I am interested in your thoughts....
Thanks
